Lori Clark

Lori Clark was born and raised in Modesto and started riding at the age of 12.  She was a successful junior rider, winning in the hunters and equitation divisions.

Lori was very active in the California State Horsemen’s Association, winning multiple year–end division awards, and served on the show committee for their annual “Show of Champions” for over ten years.  During this time she successfully coached many of her students to both regional and state championships in CSHA’s Horsemastership and English programs.  Lori takes great pride in the scholarships her students have won.

Lori began her equestrian teaching career in the Spring of 1981at the acclaimed Light Acres Stables where she oversaw a training program that routinely delivered champion level results. Building on decades of experience she founded the Liberty Riding Academy in February 2017.

Lori is the coach for Liberty Riding Academy’s IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) team.  During the 2016/2017 season, Lori served as IEA Region 3 chairman and IEA Zone 10 finals show manager.  Lori is particularly proud that her students have received the Sportsmanship award at several of the competitions.

Riders from the LRA attend numerous horse shows in Northern California each year.  Past successes included champions from the Beach Party Horse show, individual medal winners and jumper champions at Menlo, and IEA Team Champions.
